American Revolution

second-continental-congressAt about 5 a.m., 700 British troops, on a mission to capture Patriot leaders and seize a Patriot arsenal, march into Lexington to find 77 armed minutemen under Captain John Parker waiting for them on the town’s common green. British Major John Pitcairn ordered the outnumbered Patriots to disperse, and after a moment’s hesitation the Americans began to drift off the green. Suddenly, the “shot heard around the world” was fired from an undetermined gun, and a cloud of musket smoke soon covered the green. When the brief Battle of Lexington ended, eight Americans lay dead or dying and 10 others were wounded. Only one British soldier was injured, but the American Revolution had begun.

The Worldwide church of God attempted to annihilate peoples personality, individuality, will, and character. The stranded souls that hitched their wagon to this organization unknowingly supported a power-hungry pharisaic and fastuous authoritative cult leader and his son, Garner Ted Armstrong. For all the alarums and excursions, the fact remains that without knowing it, we nurtured these two ungrateful incubi's. For that I can only ask for forgiveness. After my WCG experience, I went to college to educate myself so I would have a greater understanding of the world about me and to understand why I ever fell for HWA's scam religion. This lead me to the conclusion that the appropriate action to take, in my judgment, is to provide people with opportunities to learn, develop, and exercise their potential as human beings, by freeing them from men who exploit and abuse them. This website and others are my vehicle to do just that.

  1. July 4 – a time when the USA-centric COG system drops its BI guard and takes a swipe at the tyrannical British. Anglo ministers would joke that we rebelled because we didn’t want to pay our share of the tax burden; after all, the British spent so much protecting the colonies from the French. A few years ago I visited Ft Necessity, and the volunteer tour guide and history student made a point about Col. Washington’s blunders, and that he was really peeved over not getting promoted in the regular British Army.

Some years ago some historians presented a balanced view of the situation in those times, giving due attention to the Loyalist position. That made Flurry furious, as evidenced by his blithering blathering in the PCG weekly news summary. He also fumed over historical researchers who blamed Britain for escalating Germany’s preemptive strike against France in 1914 into a global conflict.

  2. It’s ironic that the Cult of Herbert Armstrong Mafia believes, in theory, that God’s Kingdom is not of this world and they don’t vote or serve jury duty, but in the United States the ministers all seem to be Republican dog owners.

The irony of that seems to have eluded them.

  3. There is a PILE of stuff on my site about COG bias on political issues. Several articles by myself and even more by others, as well as videos, etc. They are into politics BIG TIME, but they just can’t see it that way. That’s partly because they have their own country-specific bias, partly because they are insular, partly because they listen to the lying mainstream media, and partly because they think are so inspired they know everything.

  4. Let’s not forget Crispus Attucks, the first American killed in the Revoultionary War, an African-American patriot!

  5. I can recall those dark days in the wcg. Yes the cult was of the conservative mind set. Everything had the BI spin to it and was related to “current” politics. It was how you viewed the world.

  6. Gun Lap, what wondrous info you have on your site — I had missed it: Thanks for the reference.

I noted multiculturalism. I took a government sponsored seminar on racial discrimination. It was horrible. A nice black lady and a very nice Native American facilitated it. It had the wretched movie, “Blue Eyes” in it.

Now here’s the thing: At one point I brought up the issue of discrimination in the work place toward those who kept the Sabbath. Ooooh! You should have heard the protests! A woman attorney working for the County expressed her disgust at the idea that people who kept the Sabbath could have rights under discrimination laws. I told the group that those rights were in the Civil Rights statutes of the Federal Law. The woman lawyer didn’t believe it (what a bleeding incompetent!).

So while those who express multiculturalism and the idea that we should all get along as one big human family, you find that traditionally those of the “minority” races discriminate intensely against other “minority” races.

And when push comes to shove, the “minority” races set aside their differences to attack the Jews.

What a bunch of hypocrisy. They can’t even get their own agenda straight.

We should all remember that the founders of the United States won the freedom for white male land owners. The rest came later….
