United States of Europe Prophesied Since 1934? Herbert W. Armstrong’s Stolen Idea!

Herbert Armstrong’s Stolen Idea.
The History of the United States of Europe.

How did the concept of a United States of Europe develop?

In this short video you will learn just how Herbert W Armstrong came up with and developed his idea that the European union would someday attack and destroy America.

The United States of Europe (sometimes abbreviated U.S.E. or USE) is a name given to several similar hypothetical scenarios of the unification of Europe, as a single country and a single federation of states, similar to the United States of America, both as projected by writers of speculative fiction and science fiction, and by political scientists, politicians, geographers, historians, and futurologists.

Various versions of the concept have developed over the centuries, many of which are mutually incompatible (inclusion or exclusion of the United Kingdom; secular or religious union, etc.). Such proposals include those from King George of Podebrady of Bohemia in 1464; Duc de Sully of France in the seventeenth century; and the plan of
William Penn, the Quaker founder and namesake of Pennsylvania, for the establishment of a “European Dyet, Parliament or Estates.”

George Washington wrote to Marquis de La Fayette: “One day, on the model of the United States of America, a United States of Europe will come into being.”

The Worldwide church of God attempted to annihilate peoples personality, individuality, will, and character. The stranded souls that hitched their wagon to this organization unknowingly supported a power-hungry pharisaic and fastuous authoritative cult leader and his son, Garner Ted Armstrong. For all the alarums and excursions, the fact remains that without knowing it, we nurtured these two ungrateful incubi's. For that I can only ask for forgiveness. After my WCG experience, I went to college to educate myself so I would have a greater understanding of the world about me and to understand why I ever fell for HWA's scam religion. This lead me to the conclusion that the appropriate action to take, in my judgment, is to provide people with opportunities to learn, develop, and exercise their potential as human beings, by freeing them from men who exploit and abuse them. This website and others are my vehicle to do just that.

  1. I have to laugh every time I read something like “Why it seems as if the entire mainstream Christian community has suddenly adopted Mr. Armstrong’s prophetic views of the end times!”

We live during times when information is quickly accessed. There were very few checks and balances available for a person, who, say, heard The World Tomorrow broadcast in the mid to late 1950s. Decisions were often made based on whether a listener found an evangelist sincere or credible, rather than on a careful checking of facts. People who came into the WCG out of dumbness or failure to do their own due diligence have often remained in that same naive state of mind for decades.

I recently learned, as I posted over on the Banned by HWA blog, that the Petra place of safety doctrine predated HWA. The theory was that it was going to be a place of safety for the Jews during the times of Armageddon, and at one point $8,000 worth of Bibles were placed in various buildings so that the Jews would have them to study during their stay there.

According to logic and basic flow, people who believe that it is the Roman Empire which is to be revived to set up one world government allied with the beast power have no choice but to acknowledge that the same nations which were part of that ancient empire would stage the revival. However, what if prophecy were to refer to the Ottoman Empire, instead? That would mean that a completely different set of nations, with a completely different “whore of Babylon” as its beast power would come into play, wouldn’t it? In fact, that set of nations would be composed of the traditional and historic enemies of Israel. Sons of Ishmael and Esau, the Arabic nations, with Islam as their belief system.

One of the most damnable practices employed by Herbert W. Armstrong was the scare tactics, and subsequent manipulation of people into a totally unnatural and distasteful way of life, allegedly to save their own asses!
He literally led his followers to believe that it was he, Herbert, who would preside over the place of safety, and that only his church would be protected. Even today, each ACOG leader assumes this position, and they even convince their members that they as ministers ministers have the awesome authority to separate them from God and the kingdom. It’s somewhat Orwellian that these members don’t see the blasphemy in all of that!

    1. ” It’s somewhat Orwellian that these members don’t see the blasphemy in all of that!”

The people you speak of never mature mentally, never progress in true knowledge and never learn again to think for themselves. They are slaves to their ministers who are serving only as the thought police.

Example. From the Painful Truths YouTube account (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRqCXqV5n-M) we read from one Armstrongite:

“Pt 4. Time is short. Bible prophecy is being fulfilled at an alarming rate. Do you think the Living God sent his son to die so men could continue breaking his law? No! Jesus Christ died so men would be free from breaking his law. With God all things are possible. Yes being in the Church now is hard. Yes we? are required to sacrifice. Yes we must overcome as Christ overcame. You can choose the easy life if you want. But if you are called of God, I would not do it. Truth can be painful.”

This writer is stuck in the 1950’s mold that Herbie created. These creative lies Armstrong gathered from the newspapers of the 1920’s have brainwashed several generations of people who suffer unknowingly from the ravings of this madman.

His base doctrine has been this United States of Europe lie along with the British Israelism fallacy. He has done enormous damage to society, and to the family. Not to mention the taxpayers who lands up paying to clean up the mess others created.

  2. If there is a “beast” I’d say we’re in it(USA). However, I always fi nd it i nteresting that Ayn Rand, an atheist, came up with “Attila and the Witch Doctor”, which is just another way of saying “beast and false prophet”. Church/state combiation.

However, o nly one actual group can qualify as “whore of Babylon” and beast, and that must be the Jews the mselves, primarily the Pharisee/rabbi branch and Zionists. They operate on the basis of the Talmud, wich came from Babylon, they developed laws of trade and commecre that ecame the world model not o nly for the baki ng system, but developed systems of jurisprudence that are followed even in the US. Biblically, the beast and fasle prophet can be no other than trhe Jews, since they were the only group that had a ny type of covenant with God. Did you know the Jews did quite well in the early islamic empire? Did you know that co ncepts such as due process was developed by Jews? Deception. The whole world will be deceived. Obviously.

  3. I should add that WCG, SDA, and JWs, are merely ‘Judaizers” of the christian religion. We had a Jewish Pope(Gregory), and Martin Luther Judaized the reformatio n. The Puritans Judaized Christianity and based the laws of the US on the Old testament. If you believe that sort of thing, the Jews are the ones.(rabbinical, Pharisaical, Zionist)

  4. This video made my day! Great job on the video James. Videos on youtube are an excellent way to expose “Armstrongism”.
