More on Anglo Israelism

Definition:

The principal belief of Anglo/British Israelism is that the British (and by extension Americans, Canadians, Australians, and others) are the spiritual and literal descendants of the ancient Israelites.

Revisiting “HERBERT ARMSTRONG’S RELIGIOUS ROOTS”

Back in 2014 we had this Ambassador Report article up for those who had no idea where the Herbster got his heretical ideas on British Israelism….

Wes White on British Israelism

Wes White explains why the churches of god are failing. Its the doctrine of British Israelism for one reason, a false doctrine which does not help people to live a better life. But its worse than that.
British Israelism too many times ends up being used as a tool to deceive people into thinking that Jesus is going to return in the very near future.

  • Worldwide Church of God Child Abuse July 18, 2026
There were many occasions during which we had no heat. We had no phone. We lived in absolute poverty… This alone would have been bad enough, but the true horror of having grown up in WWCg is the fact that parents were told repeatedly that they could do whatever it took, including beatings, to […]

  • Nobody Held A Gun To Your Head July 11, 2026
I’d like to make a few comments in response those who would mock former members of the Worldwide Church of God. Get over it, they say. “Nobody held a gun to your head.” (This article is a reprint from 2003) By Janey I left the Worldwide eight years ago after enduring one of the most […]

The Not So Great, Bob Thiel

Quote by David C. Pack

“I want to make a statement about…me…now, if I became deceived, I will never tell you what I’m going to tell you now…I am telling you if I go off into strange ideas, misconduct, rebellion, you name it, don’t follow me. I want to tell you that now, because if I start doing that I’m gonna try to get you to follow me! I’m gonna come to you and tell you it doesn’t apply, it doesn’t mean me, no, no, no, no, no, no, it’s OK to follow me because ABCD and XY and Z. Do you understand what I’m saying? Listen to me now, when I tell you don’t follow me if I go off into weird ideas, or if I get off into other things that are total absolutely unscriptural conduct, because if I do I’m gonna paint it with a different face and try to get you to follow me. Do you understand what I’m saying brethren? Please remember that, because I promise you that if I become deceived, I’ll forget it, and I’ll want you to forget it…And I hope you’ll remember it well enough to quote it right back to me…But I’ll tell you what, I’m not going anywhere.”
