Do you prostitute yourself to political or religious leaders? A plague on both your houses!
This article contains some political commentary on the times we live in.
I’m not for politics. I am not for religion. I’m for morality. Politicians are corrupt, and priests are delusional. I don’t think religion or government has an answer for anything. I think the individual has the answer that fits his or hers needs without the go-between baggage of a lying dirt-bag guru.
Religion is built on the promotion of unquestioning trust. Part of this trust has been directed at those god-men who claim special insight into the whims of an almighty God. In politics, the politician who claims to have divine direction rockets to the top of the polls. Faith is a major explanatory mechanism for this disparity. Faith in men.
H.L. Mencken wrote: “Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under.”
There is no shortage of examples of religious or political leaders who have demonstrated the capacity to lie to their unwitting followers. Those who chose to believe in these types of men, surely we can get together on the premise that trust should not be given to those that claim its favor.
An unbelievable level of faith is placed in these men. Much more than one places in their employer, their doctor or college professor. The question is, why? Why does mankind allow themselves to be seduced by those who wish to enrich themselves at the expense of others?
For those of the religious persuasion, I quote Ralph Haulk. In his blog titled “We Don’t Know What Jesus Taught” he writes:
“Jesus said you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. You can’t be free if you are enslaved to doctrines of men who proclaim “works” that you must perform for them. You can’t be free if you are enslaved to a perpetual search for a truth that you can never prove, but must accept on faith in the teachings of a man. Yet people would rather enslave themselves to ideas of men, doctrines without proof, rather than simply accept the simple idea that they are free from ALL such doctrines, here and now, if they simply choose to be free! It is the one simple and truthful answer that is counter-intuitive to human logic! So, if there is an “elect” who will not be deceived, how can they NOT be deceived? Matthew 24:25 says they CANNOT be deceived! it is not possible!”
Why? The simple logic of Matthew 24:23. One cannot be deceived by any person if one does not follow or believe any person!”
People cannot be deceived because they will simply refuse to get involved in the confusion and lies. They don’t place their trust in men because they know without a doubt that betrayal is but a heartbeat away. These wise students of logic and critical thinking can’t go wrong. By applying analogical reasoning to unfamiliar concepts, they reach a conclusion that offers an answer based on their conceptualizations of the world around them.
In the Church of God movement, every single one of these organizations have some slight differences in doctrine but share in the common idea that they alone are the True Church, those who God himself raised up from humble beginnings to perform the greatest work the world has ever known. And only “they” have the truth, the way, the blessings of God to finish the final gun-lap that will lead to a worldwide apocalypse and the second coming of Christ.
At that time, these people of the lie expect to rule the world along with Jesus Christ. They further believe they will guide the world into one loving camp under the threat of punishment or death. Those who refuse to play along will be eliminated. They tell us that the nations of the world will be forced to attend the feast of tabernacles or God will withhold rain and smite all those who chose freewill over slavery.
But wait! Wasn’t it God who gave us freewill? A mind that is capable to accept or reject ideas that pass along our way? Now this God wants to suspend that freewill away under punishment of death? This sounds like a Nazi type takeover of the world! Every nation is a prison camp! Freewill suspended!
For the vast majority of mankind, there cannot be freewill when one is forced to comply or face death. We are wired for survival.
So what we have here is stories from a Catholic book, stories that are spun by deceitful and unscrupulous men who’s followers either refuse or are unable to decipher for themselves if there is any truth to what they are told. These people are taught that man had indeed freewill and if they take a path outside the “chosen way” they will indeed reap death. So there is one choice and one choice alone. Anything outside the chosen way will result is your permanent expiration.
One may want to consider that if your caught in a bank and you are forced to participate in a robbery by stuffing bags full with fiat currency, is that free choice? You have two paths to chose from. Help the bad guys or get a bullet in the head. Same thing with what has been traditionally taught in the churches of God regarding freewill/choice. Either stay in the church or face the lake of fire. It is the threat of death that keeps the fearful in line. Just keep giving that money!
Ralph Waldo Emerson: “The revelation of thought takes men out of servitude into freedom.”
So next time you hear something in church or from some political hack, something that violates your conscious, try thinking it through to its conclusion. Why are they saying this? What is their motivation? How do they benefit? Is it true? Is it logical? Question everything. Consider that freewill/free-thought is an enemy of any tyrant.
“Conceptualization of the problem.”
“Search for analogues.”
“Selection and testing of them.”
Failed states ruled by fascists.
“Fascism’s theory of economic corporatism involved management of sectors of the economy by government or privately controlled organizations (corporations).”
Otherwise, the marriage of state and corporate powers. Don’t believe that is true as to the USA? Can you guess how many politicians and/or government administrators over the years that have rotated in and out of Goldman Sachs?
This system of modern day slavery that our elected officials have conjured up is based on compliance. If one does not agree to be ruled over they withdraw their consent and no longer recognize the ruling authority. Easy to make this choice as to religion if you exercise freewill. Your church will condemn you to the lake of fire but you will realize the threat is pure fiction. These middle men who you gave 10%, have nothing to do with your personal salvation (that is if you still believe in such stuff). Now as to the government, this is an entirely different scenario. They send in the guns to force compliance! Its do or die!
So who is more dangerous? The church or state?
Thomas Jefferson wrote:
“Religious institutions that use government power in support of themselves and force their views on persons of other faiths, or of no faith, undermine all our civil rights. Moreover, state support of an established religion tends to make the clergy unresponsive to their own people, and leads to corruption within religion itself. Erecting the ‘wall of separation between church and state,’ therefore, is absolutely essential in a free society.”
While both can wreck your life and force you into grinding poverty, it is not just religion that has a monopoly on destructive power. It is also the state. Joined together, they can wreak havoc of biblical proportions.
Root of Problem
Politicians. Those crusty old corrupt rich bastards who whore themselves out to special interests. What is the average time that they stay in their elected positions?
Well the average tenure of a United States Representative in Congress is said to be around 6 years, and the average for a senator is 8 years. (Remember, these are averages.) The average for those who become committee chairmen is considerably longer due to seniority. These “public servants” are well connected in Washington DC and no longer stay in touch with anyone back home, except possibly other politicians.
As the American people keep re-electing these incompetent morons, can we expect anything to change for the better? Hell no! They stay in office for their own gratification. They will cater to any special interest that will put monies into their coffers.
“If the federal government has the exclusive power to judge the extent of its own power,” he writes, “it will continue to grow—regardless of elections, the separation of powers and other much-touted limits on government power.”
Woods identifies what almost certainly won’t work: trying to effect change by sending different politicians to Washington or by fighting in the federal courts.
Trying to elect a president, senators, or representatives who will respect limits on federal power because no matter what they promise, politicians inevitably end up pandering to special interests to get campaign contributions and votes.
Trying to get the federal courts to limit federal power, because those courts are after all, part of the federal government. The President and the Senate take great care to make sure they don’t put anyone on the Supreme Court who would stop them from doing whatever they want.
So what can we do to make a difference?
- Support your states invalidation of federal laws. Recognizing the right of state governments to stand up to the federal government by declaring federal laws unconstitutional and refusing to enforce them. It matters not what your thoughts on politics are. The answer is ultimately up to you and I, if we want to remain free. In church or state issues, are you going to be a Eloi or a Morlock?
Human history proves that when the people are all enslaved by a government, it is inevitable that this government will fall into the hands of another Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, or Torquemada.
