Russians will no longer have to dread the doorbell.
On Thursday, Russia’s Supreme Court ruled that Jehovah’s Witnesses was an “extremist” organization after the justice ministry applied for an order to shut down the group’s national headquarters near St Petersburg, Russian TASS news agency reported. Russian authorities had put several of the group’s publications on a list of banned extremist literature, and prosecutors have long cast it as an organization that destroys families, fosters hatred and threatens lives, a description the organization says is false.
In its lawsuit the Justice Ministry mentioned various violations, exposed by a snap check of the organization’s activities, including those of the federal law on resistance to extremist activities. The Justice Ministry wanted the organization and its 395 local chapters to be declared as extremist and outlawed and its properties to be confiscated.
The Administrative Center of Jehovah’s Witnesses told TASS it found this affair very worrisome, because a future decision would concern 175,000 practicing believers. ACJW spokesman Ivan Bilenko said the organization was prepared to seek protection of its rights in courts of any instance.
A court in Moscow on October 12, 2016 warned Jehovah’s Witnesses over what it ruled was extremist activities. Under Russian legislation the religious organization in question is to be closed down if it fails to eliminate the exposed violations within the required deadline or if new evidence of its extremist activities come to light. The Moscow City Court on January 16, 2017 upheld the warning over extremism handed to Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses group in Russia has said it will appeal against the court’s ruling.
Let this serve as a warning to our ‘friends’ that make up the ACOG’s hierarchy.

Have been interested how Saudi Arabia reacts to Wade Cox bringing his gospel of the ccg to their country.

Wade Cox was bragging in The Journal that he had thousands of members in Africa and was planning to go into Saudi Arabia. I haven’t bothered to follow his exploits for years, almost a decade, so I’m not certain what’s going on any more.
When 80% of his congregation left him and formed the Assembly of Eloah, he probably had around 15 people left worldwide with one in Canada. His claims that he has thousands of people as members in Africa seems rather inflated about a thousand times. He only had about a maximum of 100 people in his heyday and his income was around $109,000 max, but that was long ago. It’s doubtful that he has the resources to travel to Africa and he’s pretty hands on. It also takes 3 years to earn your way into membership in the ccg.
As for his parries into Saudi Arabia, we’ve heard no more, but as unlikely as it may be, it might be possible for him to enter, since he claims the Koran is equal in authority with the epistles of the apostles, so he might just be able to leave his Bible at home. I don’t know though, they’re pretty strict there and he might risk having a Fatwa issued against him and he could by executed by devout Moslems because his brand of Allah worship isn’t quite what they would accept.
All of this may be a moot point because for years he had put in their Charter that the all church officers, including the Coordinator General had to ‘retire’ at the age of 70 and he’s 71 years old now.
Given how much he has unilaterally changed their ‘constitution’ surreptitiously over the years, it also isn’t clear that he hasn’t upped the age limit secretly and he’s still holding power in direct violation of the agreement he himself put in place.
Bottom line: Who knows?

I think this is disturbing. I never heard of JWs bombing anyone, so what makes them extremist? The government of the USA went after David Koresh for similar reasons: they were different. 80 people were murdered by the government of the USA when the Waco compound was attacked. This is how governments strip everyone of their rights. First they attack, on false evidence, a group everyone thinks is weird and nobody cares about, then that sets a precedent for more actions against others. Some day they will come for the tea party. Obama said the USA needs a home security force as well manned and well financed as the USA military. They must be expecting a civil war.
The JW’s had former members in Russia that presented a complaint(s) about the cult to the government. The cult was investigated and what you read here, was closed down from further operations within the Russian Federation. This was done for the good of the public. Something America would never do as we hold the separation between church and state sacred.
Waco was the making of Janet Reno and that clown Bill Clinton. Two fools without a clue decided to escalate an incident that could have been diffused by people who know how cults operate.
As to false evidence, when did the government gives 2 shits about due process and a legitimate criminal case? Its all about those who prosecute criminal charges. Who knows, they might become the attorney general someday on the backs of innocent people. I hold no faith in these people.
Now as for people coming for others they disagree with. This is how wars start. In this case we would call it a civil war within America. The left vs. right mentality is a faulty premise. Both party’s are the same corrupt crap boxes they have always been. The difference is an illusion. People who think there is a difference have not looked at the entire picture. It is all about re-election and the retention of power. The question now is, who will be presiding when Marxist socialism collapses here in the United States and the power structure collapses?
