Astrological Fear Porn

A Christian numerologist by the name of David Meade claims that the beginning of the end will occur on Sept. 23, 2017, as he believes Nibiru, also known as Planet X, will pass close to the Earth resulting in volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and earthquakes.

Meade has been quoted previously saying: “It is very strange indeed that both the Great Sign of Revelation 12 and the Great Pyramid of Giza both point us to one precise moment in time – September 20 to 23, 2017.” He see’s this as a “Sign of the Son of Man”.

Of course this is not the end…yet, as he calls these “celestial events”. He also states that the tribulation will occur on October 15th, 2017.

Tribulation occurs on October 15th of this year.

The author appears to be a VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE individual as did Herbert Armstrong when he was on radio and TV, but in the end game when this date passes and not a damned thing he says materializes, will he still have a following? Can we stone him?

You and I know the answer to this one. Of course he will still have a following. All Meade will do is move the end of the world to another date saying he was off on one of his calculations. This is the same game all the Armstrong wanna-bees play and they get away with it.

Brain dead in, brain dead out…

The cost of playing this game for the guru(s) is that they lose some members when its figured out that they are charlatans, and gain new members by announcing a new date and new fear inducing material. They never mentioning their former failings.

This is how the gurus con people out of their money and make a career out of it. Its a never ending revolving door of sheep to be sheered.

  1. Ah, be still, my heart! Has anyone emailed this to Bob Thiel?

Seriously, math, numerology, and astral events are irrelevant to the end times. Any consistent God would base the end times on prevalent irredeemable evils amongst humanity, as in the example of the Bible’s flood. It’s still quite possible for people with good values to impart such values to the children whom they are raising.

When Meade fails, we’ll have a moment of silence for him, and then play Queen’s (boomp, boomp, boomp) “Another one Bites the Dust!”.

  2. Reminds me of the Harold Camping ordeal. These types tend to disappear under mysterious circumstances after a couple fails, particularly if larger sums of money have been lost by the faithful.

  3. This Planet X, or Nibiru, which is supposed to be a planet with an elliptical orbit, is rooted in the works of Zecharia Sitchin. However, Sitchin has denied any connection between it and a future apocalypse.
