1990 WCG Revolution

Weā€™re talking about the shift in political involvement in American politics in the late 20th century and how Billy Graham was part of that revolution.
And letā€™s be clear on an important point: All revolutions produce good things. And all revolutions produce bad things. No exceptions. All revolutions — whether the revolution takes place in a nation or a church…

What about the SDAs during this time? Well, they were a little different than CG7. I say that because, in the late 20th century, the SDA leadership was actually encouraging their people to be involved in politics. They quoted the Scriptures about Lot and Daniel being involved in politics. You know the drill. The point is that politics wasnā€™t a big deal to the SDA membership.

Ok. So thatā€™s CG7 and SDA. But then, what was going on in the WCG? The Armstrong movement?

“The WCG was just like Franceā€¦ in that it did NOT have the benefit of experiencing a multitude of mini-revolutions over a long period of time. Instead, in the WCG, there was a ton of built-up frustration and animosity. And when their circa 1990 revolution occurred, it blew up like Mt Vesuvius. “

The Worldwide church of God attempted to annihilate peoples personality, individuality, will, and character. The stranded souls that hitched their wagon to this organization unknowingly supported a power-hungry pharisaic and fastuous authoritative cult leader and his son, Garner Ted Armstrong. For all the alarums and excursions, the fact remains that without knowing it, we nurtured these two ungrateful incubi's. For that I can only ask for forgiveness. After my WCG experience, I went to college to educate myself so I would have a greater understanding of the world about me and to understand why I ever fell for HWA's scam religion. This lead me to the conclusion that the appropriate action to take, in my judgment, is to provide people with opportunities to learn, develop, and exercise their potential as human beings, by freeing them from men who exploit and abuse them. This website and others are my vehicle to do just that.
