“Freedom means responsibility. That’s why most people are afraid of freedom”. -Attributed to George Bernard Shaw.
It’s disturbing to see people demanding less freedom from their governments. Many have strayed far away from the ideals of individual rights and personal freedom upon which our society is based.
In Canada, the province of Alberta as they emerge from lock-downs and restrictions, as things got back to normal, we see people complaining, and even protesting against the end of draconian restrictions. Some are going a step further by not only criticizing the end of restrictions, but also calling for state-controlled vaccine-passports. It is fast becoming vacinnated vs. the unvacinnated. Institutionalized discrimination along caste lines are being drawn.
CYCLE OF CIVILIZATION
There is a cycle to the rise and fall of civilizations. The rise when it is beneficial for everyone to come together. You no longer have to bake bread because a baker is there which frees you to do things that you are good at. Civilizations collapse when they (1) turn against their people, and (2) allow one class to oppress another. This is why Marxism is so dangerous. The more we move toward a socialist state means the state must suppress those that produce. Civilization no longer provides equal protection and thus it has lost its benefit for all.
Of course, in the events of humans this is not unknown. Therefore, when a scourge causes societal fear , it doesn’t take long for some individuals to begin pushing for the reintroduction of clinical shunning. For legislators who look to stay in power based on the fear factor, it is a opportunity to use division for their potential benefit. Such actions brings about isolating individuals into various camps, which makes the populace more amiable to control, and thus manipulation. A vaccine passport achieves this.
As with human behavior the next step in this societal ‘devvolution’ is individuals projecting their fear onto another group. In this case it is the un-vaccinated. History is repleted with examples. When a society is divided, and citizens simultaneously demand less freedom (in this case, mask wearing/obedience to authorities without challenge) while directing increasing anger towards a specific group, bad things start to happen. Its a bit like the Millgram experiment where the administrator causes pain for another at the direction of a perceived authoritative figure. These people see themselves as crusaders of a holy cause. We find this behavior in such personalities within mass movements.
It is indeed lamentably that human behavior has not evolved by recognizing the mistakes of the past. Those individuals craving to be ‘freed’ from personal responsibility and who seek a controlling almighty government that will either rebuff or persecute these ‘awful individuals’ says a lot about how people accept responsibility in their lives.
But sheep will always be as such because they refuse to think for themselves. Just like someone who says they are widely read but upon further inquire, retain antiquated ideas and philosophies, and of course are unbendable in their error.
Such individuals are part of the controlled masses.
The sheeple.
