“I want to make a statement about…me…now, if I became deceived, I will never tell you what I’m going to tell you now…I am telling you if I go off into strange ideas, misconduct, rebellion, you name it, don’t follow me. I want to tell you that now, because if I start doing that I’m gonna try to get you to follow me! I’m gonna come to you and tell you it doesn’t apply, it doesn’t mean me, no, no, no, no, no, no, it’s OK to follow me because ABCD and XY and Z. Do you understand what I’m saying? Listen to me now, when I tell you don’t follow me if I go off into weird ideas, or if I get off into other things that are total absolutely unscriptural conduct, because if I do I’m gonna paint it with a different face and try to get you to follow me. Do you understand what I’m saying brethren? Please remember that, because I promise you that if I become deceived, I’ll forget it, and I’ll want you to forget it…And I hope you’ll remember it well enough to quote it right back to me…But I’ll tell you what, I’m not going anywhere.”

In keeping with the spirit of the piece, it should be noted that Easter is also the time of year when the Pope comes out of hibernation to make an appearance.
Everyone can wear white now, until Labor Day.
By coincidence or design the Pope did make an appearance—his final appearance too! Now we wait to see who will replace him…
If you want to see a movie about how choosing a new Pope is done, you can watch the magnificent but controversial movie, Conclave, at Amazon Prime:
Conclave
Though, you might not like the surprise ending… something about… um… intersexual or something….
@Snarcastic– thank you for the Amazon recommendation, I thought it was rather strange– the whole timing of Easter and the Pope’s demise. I’m also going to be watching Season 2 of:
Haunted on Netflix….
The Cult of Torture “…Episode Is About a Real Evangelical Doomsday Cult.”
We (myself, brother, mom and dad) joined the cult in 1969 or so. My paternal grandparents were the members we followed in. After 5 years of incessant tithing, to the poor house, my mom started begging herself off from going by being in bed and “sick.” When I graduated from 8th grade, I informed my parents I did not wish to attend anymore. I hated the way, everything was dictated to be completely opposite to way mainstream churches operated. And we were poor….
It’s gratifying that you have left the cult insanity. Good for you.

Good luck to you all.
