Martin Luther King Day

Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin, Jr., was a middle child, between an older sister, Willie Christine King, and a younger brother, Alfred Daniel Williams King. King sang with his church choir at the 1939 Atlanta premiere of the movie Gone with the Wind. King liked singing and music. King’s mother, an accomplished organist and choir leader, took him to various churches to sing. He received attention for singing “I Want to Be More and More Like Jesus.” King later became a member of the junior choir in his church.

King said his father regularly whipped him until he was fifteen and a neighbor reported hearing the elder King telling his son “he would make something of him even if he had to beat him to death.” King saw his father’s proud and unafraid protests in relation to segregation, such as Martin, Sr. refusing to listen to a traffic policeman after being referred to as “boy” or stalking out of a store with his son when being told by a shoe clerk that they would have to move to the rear to be served.

When King was a child, he befriended a white boy whose father owned a business near his family’s home. When the boys were 6, they attended different schools, with King attending a segregated school for African-Americans. King then lost his friend because the child’s father no longer wanted them to play together.

King suffered from depression throughout much of his life. In his adolescent years, he initially felt some resentment against whites due to the “racial humiliation” that he, his family, and his neighbors often had to endure in the segregated South. At age 12, shortly after his maternal grandmother died, King blamed himself and jumped out of a second story window, but survived.

King was originally skeptical of many of Christianity’s claims. At the age of thirteen, he denied the bodily resurrection of Jesus during Sunday school. From this point, he stated, “doubts began to spring forth unrelentingly”. However, he later concluded that the Bible has “many profound truths which one cannot escape” and decided to enter the seminary.

King is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs. A far cry from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton stirring the pot in Ferguson Missouri.

As you should be able to decipher, Barack Obama is no Martin Luther King. The only thing they have in common is skin color.

  1. “…Barack Obama is no Martin Luther King. The only thing they have in common is skin color.”

And the only thing HWA and MLK have in common is that Dr King was accused of plagiarism.

  2. In Dr King’s case, Boston University might have revoked his PhD had he still been alive. A softer criticism was that he failed to properly attribute some of his sources.

As for HWA, it has been shown to academic satisfaction that he plagiarized JH Allen. I don’t accept Bob Thiel’s defense that goes something like, he didn’t copy Allen’s work, but if he did, he had a good reason.

Speaking of dissertations, we all know Dr Hoeh’s two theses were published as The Compendium, and GTA’s as the Child Rearing booklet. I’ve seen a copy of Dr Meredith’s Masters thesis (a summary of the Reformation) but does anyone know what his ThD thesis was about?

  3. King was extremely corrupt. Almost everything we have been told about him is a lie, promulgated by the Jewish media. He is no hero. He was despicable.

  4. Hey Martin. Stop hating Whites. Go back to Africa and get murdered, raped, and forced into a warlord’s gang. Or join a black US street gang. Stop hating Whites and learn to hate your real enemy–other blacks.

  5. The 12 member-founders of the board of directors of the NAACP were all Jews. It’s a Jew-controlled organization. Jews control both Whites and Blacks and pit them against each other in a divide-and-conquer strategy. Then they laugh in our faces and brag about their control over us. The Arabs and Chinese know all about Jewish control of America. The US is a joke; a bunch of arrogant but ignorant numbskulls.

  6. By definition, humans are all flawed. Even the overachievers make mistakes or have some negatives to go along with the positives. That being said, Dr. King used his influence to make the world a better place, with a more highly developed and more inclusive sense of social justice. It is a much different and somewhat better world that we live in today than the one in which I grew up.

Having spent about 12 years on the forums and blogs, I’ve noticed that because we were taught a form of subtle, institutionalized racism, and because this was attributed to God Himself, and because it was taught that it would be part of a new, perfect world in the Kingdom, some have never realized the error and evil inherent in racism, have never shed it as part of their personal recoveries, and in some cases, have actually deepened their personal contempt for black people or Jewish people, Germans, Poles, Asians, or Arabs. The problem becomes that such continued attitudes do nothing to promote understanding, nor do they bridge any gaps in such a way as to help people resolve problems in order to make the world a better place. Dr. King promoted solution not by insisting that we all become the same, but actually in spite of our individual flaws and differences. He put the “unim” back in E pluribus unim, one of the very cornerstones of our democracy, by making sure that people who had been repressed, and ignored became included.

Can this person back up the claims he makes? Hell no. At least the comments about American politicians seem to ring true when he writes “The US is a joke; a bunch of arrogant but ignorant numbskulls’.

I believe he got this part right!
