The Simpsons vs. Herbert Armstrong

Most of us have read the list of 209 failed prophecies made by heretic and chief, Herbert Armstrong. What most have not acknowledged is that the creators of the Simpsons tv cartoon have made predictions that have come true. Not one, but over a dozen.

President Trump

The Simpsons writers predicted Donald Trump would become president back in 2000. The episode, ‘Bart To The Future’, envisions the futures of Bart and Lisa Simpson. The latter, with an uncanny resemblance to Hillary Clinton, has become the first female president of the United States. “As you know, we’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump,” she says to her advisors. They then inform her that her predecessor has bankrupt the country.

  1. A few of these Simpsons compilations came up as suggestions when I clicked on one of Bob Thiel’s links. Like HWA vs Punxsutawney Phil, the amateur forecasters are more open than the COG professionals’ could/may/perhaps “alignment with” their repetitive speculations.
